Personal Training

I offer bespoke training in my converted garage. Whatever your goals are, I can help you harness your health. It might be strength training to keep running fit, lifting weights for functional fitness or you may have never lifted a weight before and want to find out how to start. It is never too late.

Babies/Children

Children do what they see their parents do. Mums and Dads are more than welcome to bring their babies to class. Babies can be relentless and taking an hour to focus on you can change your whole day.

Showing up for yourself means you can show up better for your family. I have plenty of toys to keep them occupied. And if that fails, they can be an extra weight for you!

We can't stop ageing, but we can be proactive about being as strong as possible to impact how the years affect us. Challenging our muscles and staying active means entering our latter years vibrantly with more chance of functional independence. A huge 70 per cent of how we age is down to lifestyle factors.

I feel strongly that over the age of 40, we should all be lifting weights at least twice a week. Strength training preserves bone density, insulin sensitivity and makes you feel powerful. It is critical during the menopause and peri-menopause to conteract the loss of oestrogen, bone density and muscle loss.

The only way to reduce the risk of osteoporosis as we age is to lift weights and improve bone density. This helps to prevent falls and prevents us from entering the injury and getting weaker cycle.

Pregnancy

I trained all through my pregnancies which helped to prepare me for their arrival! I can adapt exercises through all three pregnancy trimesters and can leave you feel powerful for birth and strong to cope with the functional movements required for motherhood.

I lead a Bump and Baby class at Hemel Hempstead Leisure Centre on a Tuesday morning.

Older Clients

I have experience in working with our senior citizens. Having taught various group classes aimed at older clientele, I am able to tailor classes for 70 and over. I find working on mobility and balance, as well as strength is essential for this group of people. It is so important for older people to use and strengthen their muscles to prevent frailty.
